The Rental and Payment Process

What documentation do I need to rent a storage unit?

We require a government-issued photo ID, such as a driver’s license or passport, and a lock.

When can I move into my storage unit?

If there is a storage space available that satisfies all your needs, you can move in at any time.

How do I pay for my storage unit?

You can pay in a variety of ways, such as with a mail-in check, by phone, by coming to our office in person, or through our online portal. We also offer services that automatically deduct your payments from your debit or credit card so you never miss a payment.

What forms of payment do you accept?

For storage unit rent payments, we accept checks, money orders, cash, VISA, Mastercard, American Express, and Discover.

Features and Amenities

Do I need to bring my own lock?

Yes. You can either bring your own lock or purchase one at our offices.

Does someone have to be in the office for me to enter my storage unit?

No. Each tenant is given a personalized access code to gain entry into the facility during the facility access hours once the rental process has been completed.

What vehicle storage solutions do you have?

At qualifying mystorage locations, you can rent either outdoor parking or indoor storage spaces. These storage solutions come in various sizes to accommodate different kinds of vehicles.

Do you have climate-controlled storage?

Climate-controlled storage is available at select mystorage locations. These units are kept within a consistent temperature range throughout the year to better protect your temperature-sensitive items.

Moving and Packing Tips

Do you have packing supplies?

We do! At many of our facilities, we have a wide range of supplies available for purchase. These items include but are not limited to varying sizes of boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape.

Are there dollies and hand carts available?

There are! Flatbed carts are available at most of our locations but are first come, first served.

What items are prohibited to be stored in my storage unit?

The following items are prohibited from being stored in our storage units:

  • Liquids
  • Explosives
  • Flammable liquids
  • Perishables
  • Toxic materials
  • Living beings and/or organisms
